REVIEW: There’s no formula to deduce what it takes to create an engaging adaptation of a popular show from another country. The makers of Rudra: The Edge of Darkness, an official adaptation of BBC’s Luther have followed one rule: keep it simple and straight.
The original was written and created by Neil Cross and headlined by Idris Alba. Ishaan Trivedi, Abbas and Hussain Dalal are in charge of the writing department here. From the three episodes made available for preview, it’s evident that the creators have borrowed the basic plotlines from the original episodes, and Indianised the proceedings – simple and easy to follow.
